WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange makes a speech from the balcony of the Ecuadorian Embassy, in central London, Britain, on Feb. 5, 2016.
Hillary Clinton and ISIS are both being funded by the same shadowy groups operating in the Middle East, Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has claimed.
The website owner says they have both received money from unnamed groups operating in countries including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.
The accusation came during a discussion with John Pilger at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
During the RT interview, Pilger asks Assange that a consequence of arms deals during Clinton’s time as Secretary of State means ISIS “is created largely with money from people who are giving money to the Clinton Foundation”.
Assange says “yes” before going on to respond to accusations that he is trying to influence the election’s outcome at Russia’s behest.
He also claims Trump won’t be “allowed” to win the election, because he lacks the support from the establishment that Clinton enjoys.
WikiLeaks recently dumped thousands of emails the Clinton group claims were hacked from its servers.
While Clinton and her campaign team say WikiLeaks is being used by Russian hackers to influence the upcoming election, Assange denies this.
He said: “There’s an early 2014 email, from very early on, so not so long after she left secretary of state to her campaign manager John Podesta.
“It states that ISIS is funded by Saudi Arabia and Qatar – the governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
“I think this is the most significant email in the whole collection.”
He told Pilger: “All serious analysts know, and even the US government has agreed, that some Saudi figures have been supporting ISIS and funding ISIS, but the dodge has always been that it is some ‘rogue’ princes using their oil money to do whatever they like, but actually the government disapproves.
“But that email says that it is the government of Saudi Arabia, and the government of Qatar that have been funding ISIS.
Julian Assange accuses Hillary Clinton of misleading Americans about the true scope of Islamic State’s support from Washington’s Middle East allies.
Russia Today released a teaser from the interview which sees Pilger asking if while Clinton was secretary of state, the State Department was approving massive arms sales, while the Clinton Foundation was also receiving money from them.
